This is why I love alternative music. Because while pretty much everything I listen to could be considered alternative, at the same time none of it could. It is all so different and unique and amazing.

This blog focuses on an artist named Rex Orange County, who is some random soppy British dude in short.

Wikipedia gives his music the title of “Indie Pop, Neo soul, and alternative hip hop. I’m not sure how I feel about hip hop but the musicality of this album is so unique.

One of my favorite parts of the album is at 1:50 of the first song, Apricot Princess, when it goes from this sad, slow part to kind of sped up and…it’s just too amazing to describe.

The best part is this happens all over the album. Tune in next week for what I think is safe to say the best up-and-coming artist in Alternative.
